MPSC 90 Boys Elite Defeat Coker College Varsity 2-1 in Pre-season Scrimmage

On August 20, 2008, the MPSC 90 Boys Elite team travelled to Hartsville, SC for a pre-season scrimmage with Division II Coker College, which plays out of the Carolina Athletic Conference. After a fast-paced, action-filled 90 minutes, the MPSC 90 Boys Elite won 2-1.

 

MPSC Coach Dante Johnson, new to the coaching staff, stated that after the game, Coker College Head Men’s Soccer coach, Robert Lane gave high marks to MPSC keeper, Erik Mozzo, saying that he controlled the game well. Mozzo recorded six saves. Lane also complimented the strength and tenacity of the MPSC defense. Defenders that night included Allan DaPore, Trey Hilton, Cole Fuller, Kai Donald, with Michael Reynolds providing strong defensive assistance off the bench.
