92 BOYS MAROON WIN SCYSA CLASSIC II STATE CUP
Back this past summer, MPSC didn't know if they could field two U15 boys select teams, but with the persistence and desire of these young men and their parents, a second team was formed and coached by John Abbate and Eddie Rutherford. John and his son, Jake, decided that MPSC was were they needed to be this season as they joined us from Charleston along with 3 other members. No one knew where the season would take us, but with player development our top priority and a thankfulness in our hearts for having formed a team, we embarked on our season. We persisted through disappointments , struggles and injuries as we steadily but slowly improved week by week. Entering State Cup as the fourth seed in a six team division, we took our desire and lessons learned to play the game of our lives and win the State Championship for U15 Boys Classic Division II. This season has given these young men many experiences and taught them many lessons that will be carried with them throughout their lives.
