96 GIRLS ELITE WIN JEFFERSON CUP
MPSC 96 Elite Girls have captured the Elite Orange Division Championship of the prestigious Jefferson Cup. The girls faced 4 tough regionally ranked opponents. To open play the team battled the # 2 ranked team from Georgia, the Atlanta Fire, earning a 1-0 win. Turning around just an hour later to play their second match the team battled to a 0-0 result against the New York # 2 and Region 1 #3 ranked Farmingdale SC. They finished off Maryland State Cup Finalist FC Frederick 4-0 in their 3rd group match to ensure their spot in the final. The final was a tightly contested match in which the team beat FASA Elite Impact, the # 2 ranked team out of Virginia 1-0. MPSC 96 Elite Girls are coached by MPSC Select Director of Coaching Kian Brownlee. |
