ACADEMY SOCCER PROGRAM

Our Academy soccer program is offered as a competitive program for players ages 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 years of age as of August 1st of the fall season. This is the most competitive program for MPSC players of this age. The training is done by professional soccer coaches under the supervision of the Academy Director of Coaching. This program is designed to give every player involved the technical ability (dribbling, passing, shooting, etc) to move on to the next level.

Academy Handbook

  • The program is comprised of players age 8-11 who desire becoming MPSC select players.
  • There are four age groups within the Academy program U9, U10, U11, and U12.
  • Players play within their own gender.
  • The focus of the program is player development.
  • Professional youth coaching staff oversees all aspects of player development.
  • There is a specific curriculum for all academy age groups.
  • Teams compete against region III youth soccer clubs in non-results oriented format. (Friendly weekends)
  • Teams compete in tournaments in a results oriented format.
  • Teams compete against local teams in LSYSA league.
  • There is a fall and spring season commitment expected. The fall season runs approximately from the middle of August until the middle of November. The spring season runs approximately from early February until the middle of May.
